Plant Administrative Manager

This position provides oversight of logistics in our Plastics and Non-Ferrous Departments, ensures materials are moving quickly and efficiently through the system, and that transportation is provided on a timely basis.



• Directs inbound and outbound operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, and quality management to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
• Resolves issues concerning transportation, imports, and exports, or customer issues.
• Negotiates transportation rates or services with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
• Provides customer service to the customer by ensuring that order placement and fulfillment are completed according to schedule and maintains accurate customer records to ensure timely processing.
• Composes, types, and distributes meeting notes, routine correspondence, or reports, such as presentations or expense, statistical, or monthly reports.
• Manages inventory in Excel and Quickbooks.
• Performs payroll functions, i.e., maintaining timekeeping information, processing, and submitting payroll.
• Collects and deposits money into accounts, disburses funds from cash accounts to pay bills or invoices, keeps records of collections and disbursements, and ensures balanced accounts.
• Establishes work procedures, trains, schedules, and keeps track of clerical staff's daily work.
• Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field. 
• 1-3 years of related experience in an Accounting, Administrative, and Logistics position
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Proficient personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Effective communication skills, the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
