Warehouse Manager

My client is a growing firm and they are looking for a Warehouse Manager to handle a dynamic warehouse and transportation team.

The Warehouse Manager Supervises Order Fulfillment and Delivery department personnel and activities with respect to shipping volume, cost, quality, and meeting shipping schedules and delivery dates. Bilingual-Fluent in Spanish/English a plus

1. Responsible for all processes, equipment, supplies, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting shipping quality and quantity standards.
2. Stimulates maximum efficiency and productivity of warehouse staff. Schedules overtime as required.
3. Hires, trains, and supervises the activities of the departmental staff.
4. Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department.
5. Processes and prioritized all work orders, mailings, and re-handles.
6. Supervises the processing and shipping of customer orders.
7. Verifies work orders to determine packaging requirements. Maintains production reports and assesses staffing requirements.
8. Other duties as assigned due to business circumstances.

3. Organizational skills necessary to follow through on unusual request for information and select appropriate response.
4. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with minimal instructions, adhere to prescribed routines and practices, maintain records and to make reports requiring accuracy.
5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
6. Working knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
7. Knowledge of modern office practices, equipment, procedures, and the use of standard office equipment, material handling and packaging equipment. Must be able to drive fork lift.

High school graduate or equivalent with additional college-level courses in management subjects desirable. Two years’ experience as a supervisor beneficial. Warehousing and shipping experience required.
