Job Description 

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer for distribution center in the Fredericksburg, PA area. 
Targeted/Required Skills: 

  • BS in Industrial, Packaging, or Equivalent Engineering 
  • 1-3 years of experience with experience in a production environment 
  • Plus of experience in a food grade environment and/or packaging 
  • Lean and Six Sigma techniques to discover and implement cost savings projects 
  • Ownership of kaizen events 
  • Value stream/process mapping and line layout design for pricing new items 
  • Time studies and line balancing 
  • Project management for new systems and capital opportunities 
  • Budget tracking and ROI analysis for capital projects 
  • Production and efficiency tracking 
  • OEE and performance tracking 
  • Facility layout and design 
  • Equipment and warehouse/production system knowledge 
  • Strong interpersonal skills working within a complex team in operations environment 
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills 
  • MS Office proficiency especially Excel 
  • Willingness to travel less than 10% 
  • Strong interest in supply chain operations for future growth opportunities 
  • Be able to manage own time and function in an environment without other engineers

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Drive site to generate 5% cost savings from the site year over year 
  • Complete analysis in support of response for proposal and internal continuous improvement projects to identify one or all of the following: 
    • Staffing levels by job function 
    • Material handling equipment 
    • Automation opportunities 
    • Efficient layout
  • Planning and pricing of new products being introduced to the operation 
  • Complete financial analysis using the department’s standardized model to project P&L results and understand costs of site 
  • Participate in presenting solutions to management through written summary and oral presentations 
  • Identify and manage outside vendors as needed to obtain pricing in support of solutions 
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through data analysis and present to executive and operations management 
  • Analyze, track, and present weekly, periodic, and quarterly KPIs 

Report plans, progress and results on projects and personal development as needed
