General Manager


My client is a growing third-party logistics (3PL) firm and they are looking for a General Manager with experience managing both dedicated and multi-client/ Public warehousing facilities 

Job Description 

  • Manage multi-client logistics and fulfillment operations. 
  • P&L experience 
  • Work with management team to set strategic goals for the facility 
  • Manage employees and temporary personnel work assignments, assessing variances in volumes and production 
  • Manage and communicate safety programs and ensure enforcement for the operation 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by managing customer expectations and abiding by specified SOPs 
  • Review and analyze various company reports 
  • Operate a clean and efficient facility 
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to production and cost control policies through proper staffing, training and supervision of employees. Coordinate efforts with Human Resources to recruit and source qualified applicants for operations positions. 
  • Manage performance management and development initiatives 
  • Manage forecasting and projections, facility goals and communicate with leadership

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Logistics, or related field or discipline) 
  • Minimum - 5 years of supervisory, operations management experience 
    - Experience managing multiple DCs 
  • Planning, organizational, and prioritization capabilities 
  • Demonstrated leadership performance and management 
  • OSHA, Workers Compensation, Safety knowledge and/or certification 

Forklift certification
