Leading provider of technology-driven specialty polymers and unique chemicals to a number of end markets including flooring, textiles, coatings/paints, consumer products, leather, water treatment and oil & gas chemicals.


Job is located in the Cartersville/Dalton GA area.



Responsible for multi-level account management at primary textile customers.  Increase market development of and sales to the technical textile market and/or other customers, markets or territories as assigned by the Vice President-Commercial or Director of Sales


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  1. Coordinate customer interactions and sales activity at one to two multi-million dollar sales revenue customers purchasing multiple products into multiple end markets at multiple plants. This coordination includes relationship development across customer functions and advanced multi-level selling skills and internal management skills.


  1. Coordinate Sales activity, maintain accounts and initiate new business in assigned territory and product area. Plan and execute sales trips (Approx. 25 - 40% overnight travel) as directed by the Director of Sales.


  1. Initiate and promote sales effort in new marketing areas of soft floor coverings, hard floor coverings, technical textiles or other markets as directed. Implements pricing approved by management using product pricing procedures.


  1. Manage distributor network and channels in assigned territory and products.


  1. Advise the Order Processing, Production and Shipping Departments on customer requirements regarding service. Coordinate company effort to promote an image of dependability and quality in the customer's eye. Forecast customer usage in three months and one-year estimates. Balance orders with inventory and production forecast. Accept and solicit business based on Contract Review, Production Pricing, and Specification Approval Procedures.


  1. Respond to customer corrective action requests; formally report complaints and coordinate efforts to reach solutions in best interests of the customer and (through  corrective action process).  Attend corrective action meetings as directed by sales management. Coordinate activities with  technical department.


  1. Plan and coordinate plant visits by customers and agents.


  1. Coordinate marketing activities, marketing plan for assigned product management responsibilities in conjunction with Director of Marketing.





Science based Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 7 -10 years related experience. Education and/or experience in the area of specialty chemicals or textile treatments is preferred.  Demonstrated capability in major account management and in growing wallet share at Fortune 500 clients.
