Our client is a growing organization focused on third party distribution and transportation services within the continental United States. They have an exciting opportunity for a key management position that would be directly responsible for all operational, compliance and financial aspects of the Atlanta region facility. The candidate we are looking for must have proven experience of driving a team within the distribution/transportation field while also being able to have professional daily interactions with our various customers.



  • Oversee and grow the multifaceted Atlanta Operation.
  • Ability to manage, retain and obtain customers.
  • Warehousing and all related systems (WMS), including cold chain and temperature mapping and all compliance requirements.
  • Transportation, including all DOT requirements, operation of reefer equipment.
  • Air freight operations and transportation, local knowledge and contacts a must have.
  • Local P&D rates and operational knowledge.
  • Develop operational metrics to drive performance in the areas of safety, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity and damage elimination.
  • Design procedures and new methods of efficiency and to minimize costs.
  • Ensure customer needs are met daily.
  • Document and resolve any customer service or associate issues daily.
  • Hold regular communication meetings with associates as well as senior leadership.
  • Develop the site’s budget which includes working on pricing rates for customers.



  • Must have full knowledge of US Government requirements for dealing with CBP, TSA CFS, airfreight, local P&D operations and rate knowledge.
  • Must be available for emergency calls and coverage which include weekends and holidays.
  • Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to manage budgets and prepare related management reports.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills and exhibit a hands-on management approach that encourages change and creative problem-solving.
  • Must have a working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in WMS, RF Applications, word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
  • Excellent aptitude and experience in estimating rates.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least five years’ Manager Resources Manager experience in senior management role within logistics, supply chain and/or transportation field.
