Petroleum Engineer - Production, Operations, Drilling, Completions, Reservoir

Have you ever pictured yourself working for a small privately held company where the red tape is scarce and the fun is plentyful.  Our client is an established oil and gas operating company founded over 70 years ago that is extremely active and stable.  The successful candidate will oversee field operations, including drilling, operations, production, completions, evaluating reserve acquistions, and advising the company on non-operated interests.  


Responsibilities include:

  • Maximizing cashflow by increasing production and reducing costs
  • Safe and environmentally responsible operations
  • Supervision of field foremen
  • Manageing production reports, expenses and work in progress
  • Traveling to field as needed
  • Artificial lift design, installation, and optimization
  • Design, AFE, and coordinating oil and gas drilling, workovers, and production facilities optimization

We are looking for someone with the follow background/skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is accpetable with the right experience)
  • Working experience running ecomomic analyses
  • Experience with drilling, workovers, fracing, facilities, production equipment, and completions
  • General Understanding of Reserve Evaluations
  • Field office supervision
  • 5 + years of experience with an operating company / exposure to all engineering disciplines a plus
