Plant Project Engineer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist all areas of plant in developing and executing engineered solutions for eliminating operational issues.
  • Monitor performance of plant equipment and systems and make recommendations to ensure high levels of reliability are achieved. Assist as required with Root Cause Failure Analysis Teams to eliminate failures.
  • Participate in developing plant maintenance program and project needs and 5 year Capital and Plant Expense Project Plans.
  • Develop all engineering, drawings and equipment specs required to accurately support project development including RFQ’s, cost estimates, justifications / benefits and AFE preparation.
  • Ensure all Operating and Maintenance Procedures are prepared prior to handover to the plant.
  • Ensure city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to projects are met at all times

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

5 Plus years of related experience in some of the following:

  • manufacturing engineering activity
  • Bulk materials handling (Including storage, packaging, loading and unloading)
  • Pneumatic conveying
  • High temperature refractory lined equipment
  • Major equipment: Boilers, steam turbines, air condensers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, fired dryers, bag filters, conveyors, bucket elevators, air blowers, fans and refractory lined equipment.
  • Strong maintenance background preferred
  • Hands on experience for some of the following: design engineering, estimating, purchasing, supervision of consulting engineers and construction management.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSME preferred, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Civil Engineering
  • Graduation must be from a nationally known accredited college or university
  • Transcript will be required

 

OVERALL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be comfortable with relocation to small towns in Texas Panhandle, West Texas, and/or Fort Worth as required to progress with the Company
  • Must be flexible with regards to work schedules that could include nights and weekends depending on plant maintenance needs.
  • Must be highly motivated self-starter and have the desire to progress upward in manufacturing management or corporate project engineering
