Process Technician

Responsible for maintaining and improving injection molding and secondary processes that allow us to meet or exceed production efficiencies while providing our customer base with quality parts.

Set up injection molds and work stations in a timely manner that meets the needs of our employees as well as our production goals. Responsible for meeting or exceeding company standards for efficiency and utilization. Work with the Shift Supervisor and the Quality department on approval of start-up parts. Monitor process and workstation information as presented in mold books, and ensure accuracy and conformance to company standards. Accurately maintain standard approved process sheets for each part and press. Aid in design jigs, fixtures, conveyer systems, and robotics as necessary to meet or improve standards. Assist the Shift Supervisor in shift operation as requested. Document tooling damage and/or processing issues and maintenance issues as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or 10 years of manufacturing experience.
Minimum of three (3) years in a processing role within the plastic molding industry.
Ability to interpret part drawings.
Knowledge of plastic part quality requirements.
Knowledge of computer systems.
Proficient in technical set-up of injection molding machines and working knowledge of establishment of robust processes.
Must provide personal tools for the job.
Certified forklift user.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Frequent long periods of walking and standing.
Frequent bending and stooping.
Lifting and carrying average to heavyweight (2 to 50 pounds) materials or objects.
Occasional pushing and pulling of materials or objects.
Hand/finger dexterity and coordination.
